Rebel Game Designer voted #1 Badass amongst gamers

In a recent survey conducted by Gaming Monthly Weekly, almost 2/3rds of gamers feel that the Rebel Game Designer is the most badass position among all fields in the gaming industry. According to GMW, however, the results have no bearing on the actual product produced by the designers in question, only on the attitude they have during and after development of the game.
Readers of GMW were given several different choices in the original survey, including Rebel Game Designer. Each choice was accompanied by a brief description, which Altrego has obtained permission to reprint.
“The Rebel Game Designer sits high on his/her horse of originality and creativity. With no concern for the hypocrisy he/she spouts about the corporate conformity while ignoring the fact that they have become a part of that same corporate entity, the RGD is often found at conventions wearing leather and jeans or some other sort of ‘rebellious’ attire. To the RGD, style is everything and gameplay, not so much.”
Last year’s winner, Attractive Female Developer dropped to 2nd place. Unshowered Overweight AI Coder took last place for the 5th time in a row.
